Personal:
Allergies and that awful cold has been banished from the house. Mr Z was the last one to get it and wouldn’t you know, he got it the worst. He is also my one kid that NEVER gets sick. So it figures that he got laid out with this cold.
Mr. Z has his end-of-grade testing coming up. He did his math today and ELA next week. I’m expecting him to pass both with flying colors. Put it this way, he has a 96 in Math and a 97 in ELA. His GPA is 4.0.
Miss B’s end-of-course testing starts next week. She has one EOG on the 24th. After that, she’s out of school. Well, according to her she’s out of school for the rest of that week. I do plan on emailing her EC (special Ed) teacher to confirm
Because Miss R is in 1st grade, they don’t do end-of-grade testing. Instead, they see how proficient the kids are in math, ELA, writing, and science/social studies. Because Miss R’s teacher contacted me last week, I know that she isn’t proficient in writing. Honestly, I am not that worried about it. I will work with her over the summer break (I got workbooks). Considering how messed up the school year was, I am happy that she is on grade level for everything else.
BK is in Baltimore/Washington D.C. this week. I am worried about how he is going to get home with the gas shortages. He took his company car there yesterday and had problems finding a gas station. He’s hoping that by tomorrow that there will be gas.
Speaking of the gas shortage, we’re good with gas. BK fills the cars (Dodge Journey and Dodge GrandCaravan) up every Saturday/Sunday. So, we’re good for a while if I only drive when I have to. They are expecting everything to be OKish by the weekend (according to the news).
BK and I finally got to watch another episode of The Nevers on Sunday. I am really enjoying that show. But, because of the shitstorm that is around Joss Whedon, I am wondering if it will be canceled….sigh. Hey, at least I still have The Magicians and Lovecraft County.
I have stopped playing Black Desert Online. The game got boring for me. I decided to redownload Elder Scrolls Online and play that. So far, I am liking it!!
I made Slow-Cooker Savory Roast Chicken and Vegetables with garlic mashed potatoes for supper last night. It was a bust. None of the kids ate it. Miss B didn’t like the taste of the chicken, Miss R didn’t like that there were mushrooms in it, and Mr.Z doesn’t like chicken, period. I thought it tasted good….shrug. Gotta love having picky kids.
Blog
I had posted this on Monday (on the IMWAYR post) but I am going to restate it here. I am finally able to edit my posts without having to scroll through all of them. I was so excited about that and I did about 5-6 posts before closing shop for the night. I am hoping to get all my posts edited/links fixed by the end of the summer!!
Reading:
I didn’t do a lot of reading last week. As I mentioned in that IMWAYR post, I had an awful migraine that lasted two days. Then it was my birthday/Mother’s day. Then on Monday, my Kindle died (thathappens when you don’t charge it….lol). But I was able to finish one book last night and I am almost done with another.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
I wasn’t a huge fan of this book. I loved what was promised in the blurb. But once Anna and Jack got the symbiont, the book got very, very weird.
What I am currently reading:
I am enjoying this book, even though it isn’t quite what the blurb promised. Yes, October is a nurse but the blurb fails to mention that she has severe OCD. That is brought on by being raised by an abusive hoarder of a mother. As for her being an Omen, October wasn’t even aware of it until the night she met her mother’s new boyfriend. Other than that, I am loving it. Von is one of my favorite characters (the scene where he is trying not to feed on October was pretty funny…mainly because of what he was saying). Mason, I am not sure of, and I do NOT like Danny. He’s a little too free with his hands if you know what I mean.
What books I think I’ll read next:
I finally have new books on my TBR list for this next week. I will have a book come off hold from the library at some point this week, so I am including it on this week’s list. The order in which I will be reading these books are NetGalley ARC, Author ARC, Library book, TBR, TBR, TBR.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
Happy Monday (well, as happy as a Monday can be…lol) everyone and I hope you all had a great weekend!!
For all my Mom blogger friends: Happy Belated Mother’s Day!!! I hope you had a relaxing and wonderful day with your family. I know I did :).
My weekend was great. We completed our outdoor patio area and are thinking of building an area for a firepit. We also started clearing out the area for the pool. I have talked BK into putting sand on top of a tarp so the bottom isn’t as bumpy as it was last year.
We also made our plans for a vacation to Fl. See, last year, we were supposed to go and stay at a cottage on the beach in April. Since Covid happened, our plans got canceled. Well, this year, we are going down for Memorial Day weekend. Our plans are Epcot, Legoland, my MIL’s pool, and the beach. Everyone is super excited. We even hired someone to come in, make sure the cats’ food and water are filled, scoop the litter box, and play with the cats when we are gone. FYI: Rover.com is the place to go for that.
I didn’t read this weekend. With everything that was going on (Friday was my birthday and Sunday was Mother’s Day) on top of having a migraine Thursday and Friday, I didn’t pick up my Kindle. I do plan on sitting down after this post is up and reading.
I worked on my blog for a little bit on Saturday. I had gotten an email from WordPress with the interesting news that you can switch the posts back to the admin view. Go into your account, account setting, and above the dashboard color schemes section is a tab that says “Show wp-admin pages if available.” Click it so it is green and it is changed. I’ll tell you guys, that has made a HUGE difference for me. Instead of scrolling through my posts, I can go, click an arrow to the end, and backtrack to the last post I was editing.
How was your weekend? Anything interesting happen? Read any good books? Find out something that makes your life (blogging and otherwise) 100% easier?
Let me know!!
What I am Reading Now:
I got into 30% of Symbiosis before my migraine started last week. Honestly, I am a little “meh” about this book. The characters aren’t my favorite and the plotline makes no sense. I am hoping that it straightens out soon or I am going to DNF it.
What I plan on reading this week:
My reading order for these books are TBR, ARC, TBR, TBR, TBR. I do have a library book coming off hold this week and I will read that before the last three TBR’s.
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Personal:
Allergies are easing up here (thank God!!). I haven’t taken an allergy pill in a little over 2 days and I am hoping that we’re over the hump.
With Miss B and Miss R being back in school, I knew that sickness was right around the corner. And oh man, has it hit our household. Everyone (except me, I think I have Mom immunity) has gotten this awful cold. It started with Miss R last Wednesday and by Sunday, BK got it. I’ll admit, I did get a little nervous when I heard the coughing. But, all symptoms were knocked out by Dayquil and everyone (except BK who is on day 3) was over it in 4 days.
Miss B found out that she will not have to take her World History final exam. She was thrilled about that. She does wish that she didn’t have to take her Math 1 or honors ELA exams.
Mr Z takes his exams starting next Wednesday. He only has to take Math and ELA. He has to go to the school and take the test. On a Wednesday (they are virtual here on Wednesdays). At 730 in the morning. Lucky for him (or not lucky depending on how you look at it), I am up by 615 on the weekdays and will be able to wake him up fairly early.
Miss R is still loving school. Her favorite classes: Music (and I like her music class too) with Art being a very close second. She has a boy in her class who likes her….lol.
BK is still traveling. He is off to Atlanta, DC, North Dakota, and NYC this month. I am enjoying the peace during the day (and at night). The only place he hasn’t been is North Dakota and he is excited about going. I told him to take pictures (I live through him).
I haven’t been watching a ton of TV. BK and I did sneak in an episode of Lovecraft County over the weekend. I had nightmares about the ghosts in Letty’s house and what was done to them. Shudder.I am still playing BDO and my games on my phone. My huge generation on BitLife died out yesterday. I was super sad because I was on generation 83.
I made Slow-Cooker Pork Burrito Bowls last night. I wasn’t a huge fan of it. It was the lettuce. If I made it again, I would leave the lettuce out.
Blog
Same old thing going on with the blog. I have had zero motivation with fixing it up.
Reading
I read 4 books between last Wednesday and yesterday. Yay me!!!
What I Recently Finished Reading:
I am not going to say too much about this book except it evoked very strong emotions while reading it. Not saying I didn’t like it but there are some strong themes running through this book that kept me up after I finished it. Mainly because there are still towns and people out there that act like the people in this book and it scares me.
What I am currently reading:
I am finally reading this book!! I only got into a couple of pages before I fell asleep but yay!!
What books I think I’ll read next:
I am finally getting to the books that have been on my TBR forever!! The order in which I will read them are: TBR, ARC, and TBR. I do have a book that can possibly come off hold this week. If it does, I will read it before the other TBRs.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. Happy Monday (well, as happy as a Monday can be…lol) everyone and I hope you all had a great weekend!!
I hope your weekends were fantabulous and you were able to get stuff done.
My weekend was good. On Saturday, we went to a local compact (I believe that is the name for it) zoo called Zootastic. It is around 45 mins (give or take because of traffic). The last time we went to this zoo was around 3 years ago and we didn’t have a great time. Most of the exhibits weren’t up and they were renovating the place. Well, this time, it was awesome. They had double to animals that they had. We even saw a pregnant kangaroo with a joey in its pouch. The kids had a blast. We got home and hung out for the rest of the day.
Sunday, BK decided he was going to start building a patio area. So, we went, got 24 paving stones and laid them out in roughly the area we want to build it. We have to get 20 (or so) more before it is finished. We also decided to get a squirrel baffle for one of the bird feeders. We also go more suet, a corn holder for the squirrels, sandpaper, buckets, and gardening glove. He also made his own baffle. He cut a hole in a pot that we weren’t using, put it on top of a clamp, and zip tied the area shut. They haven’t been able to get up it. The sandpaper, buckets and gloves were for something different. We had gone gem mining at the zoo and the kids wanted to polish the gems they got. So, they did that while BK and I set all the bird stuff up in the back.
I did read this weekend. But it wasn’t any of the books on my Currently Reading list. Instead, I have been reading The Birding Pro’s Field Guide: Birds of North Carolina. I used to be an avid birdwatcher but stopped when we moved to NC. Now that we have the feeders up, I plan on using that guide. But, I am also reading through it.
I put The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue on hold at the library. Any guesses at where I am on the hold list? I am 533 out of 552 people waiting and they have 19 copies with 29 people waiting per copy. I was amazed when I saw that number. See, I have never put a “hot” book on hold before. I got a little laugh from that.
So, how was your weekend? Read anything good? Any great adventures?
What I am Reading Now:
What I plan on reading this week:
The order I plan on reading the books are: Library, ARC, TBR.
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Personal:
Allergies are still bad here. Miss B,Miss R and myself are so congested and sneezy, it isn’t even funny. I can’t wait for the trees to stop releasing their pollen and life to get back to normal.
Miss R is still loving school. Right now, she has a boyfriend. She told me that she went up to this boy (she had known him since preschool) and told him “You are my boyfriend and you will like it.” I died laughing at that and thought to myself “If only it works that way.“
Miss B is enjoying Beta Club. She has attended two meetings and the seniors made her feel very welcome. Right now, they are working on pinatas for the prom (I think). Speaking of that, her school’s prom will be in person. Since there are about 45ish kids in the senior class, they are holding it at an outdoor venue that is down the street from us. Nothing like my prom, which had 400kids in the senior class.
Mr Z plays the violin in orchestra and he is getting frustrated. See, the orchestra teacher is having the kids play Dragonhunter and he cannot keep up (the violins go fast). He is questioning if he should do it next year (I told him yes because he will be in school and will be able to hear the other players). I have suggested practicing but that goes over well….lol.
BK had a Covid scare last week. There is a long and involved story to this scare and I can’t get into much detail. I will say that BK is vaccinated and he did get a test done. He was negative (thank God). I am keeping an eye on the kids (I had both shots and will be considered vaccinated this coming Saturday).
I started watching Lovecraft County and man, that show is scary. When I saw that Jordan Peele was one of the directors, I knew that it would scare my pants off. I am also watching The Irregulars and TheNevers. I am also still watching The Magicians. Over the weekend, I watched the new Mortal Kombat movie. I liked it but it was very violent. Miss B and Mr Z loved it. Miss R was not allowed to watched it. For her, we watched Little Rascals (the 1994 movie).
I am still playing Black Desert Online. Right now, I am on this super long fishing quest and I am at the part where I have to fish for starfish. It is driving me nuts because I don’t know where to find them and there is next to nothing online. I am still playing BitLife (on my 53rd generation) and still doing the color by number apps.
I am making Smothered Chicken tonight for supper. I am hoping the kids like it. I know Miss R will like the bacon (she loves bacon) but other than that, its up in the air.
Blog
I have stalled (again) with updating my posts. I know that I need to do it but the WordPress changes has made it super difficult to do.
Reading
I read 3 books since last week. I am pretty pumped for that. I am hoping that I can read that much for this week, but I doubt it. I am stuck on my ARC read. Uggh.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
This book was super creepy to read and I loved it. There was this twist at the end of the book that both horrified and saddened me. And how the killer was blew my mind!!!!
What I am currently reading:
I am having such a hard time getting through this book. It started off slow and is just now gaining momentum. I also feel a little lost reading this book and blame that on missing book 2 during my hiatus. Hopefully, The Promised Queen ramps up and delivers!!
What books I think I’ll read next:
I have a short list this week (Hurray!!). Here’s the order I will read them in. Books 1 and 2 are library books. Books 3 and 4 are the books that I still haven’t gotten to and will be reading this week.
Happy Monday (well, as happy as a Monday can be…lol) everyone and I hope you all had a great weekend!!
I had an OK weekend. Saturday rained and we couldn’t get anything done. We ended up watching TV (the new Mortal Kombat movie for the older kids, Little Rascals for Miss R and Lovecraft County for BK and myself).
Sunday, we went to Pigeon Forge, TN for a daytrip. We haven’t been on day trips since, well, before the pandemic, so it was a big hit with the kids. We went to an arcade, played mini-golf, and went on this Jurassic Park ride before making the almost 4 hour ride home. It felt so good to get out of the house!!
I didn’t do a whole lot of reading over the weekend. But I did finished The Chestnut Man by SorenSveistrup yesterday. Talk about a good book with a plot twist that I didn’t see coming!!
I also had the first book in The Other’s series come off hold (finally). So I will be reading that this week…along with the other books listed today.
So, how was your weekend? Read anything good? Any great adventures?
Let me know!!
What I am Reading Now:
I am curious to see how I will like The Promised Queen. I had read and reviewed The Orchid Throne and liked it. But, I was on hiatus when The Fiery Crown was published and missed reviewing it. So, we’ll see how much I like The Promised Queen. So far, I am liking it.
What I plan on reading this week:
Speaking of reading books out of order, Written in Red came off hold for me last night. So, I will be reading that first. Then the other two books that I have had sitting on my currently reading list for 3 weeks. I do have one book that could potentially come off hold from library (but the wait time says 2 weeks….so we’ll see).
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Personal:
I got my 2nd Covid shot. Talk about a huge relief. Once I got my shot, I felt a thousand pounds lighter and I am start living again!!
My health issues have gone away (knock on wood). My only issues are allergies. Here in NC, we are in the middle of what we call “The Pollinating.” Our cars are covered in an inch thick green pollen. And it is wreaking havoc with my allergies.
Miss R is enjoying being back in school. She got her 1st in school progress report and she is at grade level for everything except….writing. I wasn’t surprised by this and they are working with her to catch her up. She is loving being around other kids her age and going to her special classes in person (PE, Guidance, Library, and Art).
Miss B is also back in school full time. The district made the decision last month to send grades 6-12 back to school 4 days a week. She is loving it. She also had her first Beta Club meeting this week. She told me that there was only one other freshman invited to this group. I told her that was amazing and she should feel special!! Now, we are waiting for an invite to the induction ceremony (should be in a couple of weeks).
Mr. Z is still at home. I gave him the option of going back to school or remaining virtual and he chose virtual. Since he is straight As, I allowed it. But, he will be going back in the fall. He needs to person to person interaction.
BK is back to traveling for work. Since the end of March, he has been to Florida, Missouri, and Michigan. It was weird, at first, him being gone. But I have gotten used to it and I am enjoying the quiet (well relative quiet).
I haven’t been watching that much TV lately. If I do turn it on, its to watch Jeopardy and Wheel ofFortune and then it goes off.
I have been playing a lot of Black Desert Online. I also have been playing BitLife on my phone. Along with those, I have been using color by number apps.
I made Slow-Cooker Smothered Beef Brisket in the crockpot for supper tonight. Not sure how it is going to taste or if the minions will like it but we’ll see. It does smell delicious!!
Blog
I started back on going over my posts and fixing things. But, with the changes WordPress did, finding those posts are next to impossible. But I’m determined to do it!!!
I noticed that I am getting tagged in a lot of meme posts. To the people who are tagging me: I will get to them. I am just terrible at doing that stuff.
Reading
I haven’t been reading that much lately. I am too tired at night to pick up my Kindle. But that did change on Monday. Between Monday and today, I have read 3 books. Yes, you saw that right. 3 books. I am hoping to have at least 2 more finished by the end of the week (maybe more if I keep up streak!!)
I am failing miserably in my reading challenges. I am 18 books behind on my Goodreads 2021 ReadingChallenge. As for the challenges on The StoryGraph…here they are:
Reading Writers of Color—I have 20% done. I have finished 3 prompts out of the 15 listed. In my defense, I have been waiting on a particular book to come off hold (I have had it on hold since the beginning of December). Once its off hold and read, then I can start knocking off the other prompts.
Clear Those Shelves 2021—I have 31% done. I have finished 16 prompts out of the 52 listed (I did finish all of the bonus prompts).
Book Riot’s 2021 Read Harder Challenge—I have 13% done. I have finished 3 prompts out of the 24 listed.
Tropes in Romance—I have 0% done. I have finished 0 out of 15 prompts. Whoopsie. I need to work on that.
Beat the Backlist 2021—I have completed 15% of the bonus prompts. All of the prompts are bonus prompts, so yeah.
TBR and Beyond – 2021—-I have 18% done. I have completed 5 out of the 28 prompts.
Popsugar Reading Challenge 2021—I have 8% done. I have completed 3 out of the 40 prompts (I have also completed 50% of the bonus prompts)
Exploring New Horizons-Reading Challenge 2021—I have 8% done. I have completed 1 out of 12prompts.
ReadWhatYouOwn2021—I have 40% done. I have completed 20 out of the 50 prompts.
The StoryGraph’s Genre Challenge 2021—I have 10% done. I have completed 1 out of 10 prompts.
The Booklist Queen Reading Challenge 2021—I have 10% done. I have completed 5 out of 52 prompts.
21 Books for 2021—I have 0% done. I have completed 0 out of 21 prompts.
The Unread Shelf Project—I have 0% done. I have completed 0 out of 12 prompts.
AtoZ Reading Challenge—I have 0% done. I have completed 0 out of 26 prompts.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
I really enjoyed reading Marked in Flesh. Anne Bishop is one of my favorite authors, so me liking any of her works are a given. But this book gave me chills. The build up to when The Elders destroyed the human cities was amazing. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. And the end of the book left so many questions. Thankfully, I do have book 5 and will be reading it!!
What I am currently reading:
I read only a chapter or so last night but what I read has made me want to devour this book!! The only thing I am hoping for is that there is no romance. It would ruin the vibe this whole series has.
What books I think I’ll read next:
The first two books, I will definitely read. They are on loan from the library and I have a limited time to read them. The third is an ARC that I need to get read. I have a review due for it in 2 weeks. I am hoping to get to the last 2 books. They have been sitting on my currently reading list for a few weeks. Me reading them hinges on if any books come off hold from the library. The last time I checked, I have one that should be coming off hold soon. If it doesn’t, then I am good to go. If it does, then I read that one first.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. What I am Reading Now:
I was super excited to start reading Murder of Crows. I am a HUGEAnne Bishop fan. I have read almost every single book she has written. So, when I checked my Goodreads library shelf and saw that books 1-7 were up next in my queue, I squealed like the fangirl I am. So far, the book is good. My only complaint is that I had to start reading book 2 before book 1 came off hold (someone is holding it hostage). But, I was able to catch on quick to what was going on, the world, and the characters.
What I plan on reading this week:
Remember last weeks IMWAYR where I said that my Anne Bishop books were coming off hold. Well they did. And then the next 3 books were available, so I grabbed them. Which in turn over saturated my currently reading list. I am hoping to burn through these books (see above). Once I am done with those, I have a NetGalley ARC and two books that have been on my Currently Reading for a while. So wish me luck!!
What is on your reading list for this week? Do you have books from a favorite author that you are reading? How about ARC’s? Or books that have been on your TBR forever and you are just now getting to? Let me know!! I might want to read them or have read them!!
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. What I am Reading Now:
I am struggling with reading this book and I am considering DNF’ing it. I am a little disappointed because I have read so many great reviews on My Dark Vanessa. So, I am going to give it one more try. If I can’t read more than a couple of pages tonight, then I am returning it to the library.
What I plan on reading this week:
With Miss R and Miss B being back in school 4 days a week, I am hoping to up my reading game by 100%. The books I plan to read this week are pretty much set but I do have two Anne Bishop books that should be coming off hold this week (the start of The Others series). If/When that happens, then they get priority over the books on the list.
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Personal:
It looks like my infection is gone. The medication that the Dr prescribed to me is working (knock on wood). So I am doing a cautious yay!!
Miss R got braces on her upper teeth last week. I have had a lot of people (in real life) question why I chose braces at 7. Here’s my answer: When she got her teeth pulled back in August (she had two extra teeth thatneeded to come out), the oral surgeon pulled 7 extra teeth. When her orthodontist found out, he was upset because the oral surgeon didn’t consult him before hand. The result of the extra teeth being pulled was her adult teeth shifted on top. She had a huge gap and a top tooth that was coming in sideways. Plus, the way the teeth shifted, her other adult teeth couldn’t come through. So, she needed to get braces to A) turn the sideways tooth and B ) push together the teeth and to make room so her other teeth can come in. She will only have them on for 6 months but still. If the oral surgeon just pulled the teeth that he was supposed to, then this mess wouldn’t have happened.
Miss B got selected to join The Beta Club. I am so proud of her. For those of you who are new to the blog, Miss B has ADHD, GAD, and a non specific math learning disability. When we moved, Miss B was found to have a kindergarten math level in 4th grade. Thanks to a school with a great special ed program (they call it ExceptionChildren here) and teachers that were willing to help (unlike her previous school), she is almost up to grade level. She is super excited (as is her EC teacher) and there is an induction ceremony in a couple of weeks. If she keeps her grades up, she gets to wear a special cord with her graduation gown. So, yes, I am very proud of her!!
There is nothing new going on with Mr. Z. He’s not going back to school next week (I gave him the choice) and he is pretty pumped to be doing his school work without interruptions from his sisters.
I have gotten sucked into the world of The Magicians. I am at the end of Season 1 (there are 4 seasons) and am in shock. Unfortunately, I will not be watching it until next week (when BK is traveling for work). I also have been watching a lot of YouTube with Miss R. She watches this one YouTuber, Gloom, who is freaking hilarious. She is among the very few YouTubers that I can watch without wanting to poke my eardrums out.
I made Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken last night. It was eh. The chicken was dry (it almost always is when I cook chicken in the crockpot). But the taste was fantastic!! I will not be making this again. Dry chicken doesn’t do it for me when I eat.
Blog
I did nothing to my blog last week. Nada. I wasn’t feeling it (plus, I got busy). I plan on doing more work on it this year.

I actually got through 95% of the books from last weeks WWW. I surprised myself with that. I also had one book come off hold from the library, with 2 more looking like they will come off within the next couple of weeks.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
This book was OK until the last chapters. Then it did a total 180 (that didn’t make sense). I was left with a WTH feeling after reading it.
What I am currently reading:
I am enjoying this book. What I am enjoying is that this isn’t your typical fairytale retelling. It is a darker retelling (much darker than the original one). I can’t wait to see what Fable has in store for Brie. I also can’t wait to see if Brie takes her own destiny in her hands.
What books I think I’ll read next:
The first two books, I will definitely read. One is a library book and the other an ARC that I need to read. I am iffy about the other 4 books. I have 2 books that are on hold at the library that could come off hold. If that happens, then I will read those first.
