WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Miss R is having a rough couple of months and I was hoping it was going to get better. Well, it isn’t. Miss R had her 7 year check up last week. She ended up failing the eye test and according to the Dr, has 20/40 vision. She got a referral to a pediatric eye doctor and mostly likely will have glasses. She isn’t happy about going or possibly getting glasses. I did remind her that Mr. Z and myself wear them. Still, I think it is just the cherry on the top of her cake for a crappy month (for her at least). A retainer/lip bumper and now glasses, she’s not a happy camper.
I am fighting with the Post Office. Miss B was supposed to get her report card on Saturday (thank Informed Delivery!!). It never showed. I expected it on Monday and guess what, never showed. So I sent an email on Tuesday asking where it was and it didn’t show. I did get an email back stating that someone was looking into it. So, I went, looked and it’s supposed to be arriving today. We’ll see. If it doesn’t, it will make 4 days with it being at the Post Office but not being delivered. That’s an issue.
I haven’t been watching much on TV this week. BK and I have started Ancient Top Ten on Hulu. Everything else has been put off to the side while we game. BK is playing DayZ on the computer (he had it on XBox and didn’t like it). I’m still playing ESO, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Animal Crossing. Any hints on how to get a giant trellay and a mahi-mahi would be great…lol.
I am blowing through books. But I haven’t been writing reviews on them. I just haven’t had the time this week and also, the books were pretty bad (plot and writing wise). I also miss TTT yesterday and plan on doing a makeup post later on today.
What I am currently reading:
Convinced they are the victims of a sick practical joke, Heidi Bowman and her three friends are resigned to spending the night at The Scarry Inn, even though the atmosphere is anything but welcoming. Surely the owners, Dick and Thelma are simply trying to drum up business for their new motel by terrifying their guests.
But when Kara is found brutally murdered, they realize the danger is real and they must find their way to safety before the secrets of the inn claim another victim. Making things even more difficult is the lack of cellphone service in the small town of Frighton, Arizona. With no clue as to who they can trust, the remaining threesome are now caught up in a fight for their lives.
I recently finished reading:
I never wanted to be in this situation.
Stalked. Kidnapped. Desperate.
Forced into a world full of darkness and terror.
While I thought this was the worst…
He came, a beast in the dark.
And he told me to be a good girl if I want to live…
He was going to take what I didn’t want to give.
My complete submission.
But somehow, his muscular body makes my body clench in ways I’ve never felt before.
I started to crave the heat of his touch and the bite of command in his voice.
I really should stay away. But being punished has never felt so good.
The girl made my body burn with lust.
She made me want to wrap her hair around my fist and f*ck her hard.
To make her scream my name in pleasure.
Demand her sweet surrender while I dominate her in every way I know how.
But first, she has to pay for the sin of her father.
WARNING: Dark, dirty, forbidden, and hot as hell. It is intended for mature audiences due to sexual content.
**Her Beast is part one in the Beauty and the Captor Trilogy. It ends with a cliffhanger. **
What books I think I’ll read next:
“In here,” he said, pushing on the skin above my heart, “you’re ten below zero. And you’re closer to death than I am.”
My name is Parker. My body is marked with scars from an attack I don’t remember. I don’t want to remember. I choose to live my life by observation, not through experience. While people are laughing and kissing and connecting, I’m in the corner. Watching them live. I’m indifferent to everything, everyone. The only emotion I feel with any kind of depth is annoyance, and I feel it often.
A text message sent to the wrong number proves to be my undoing.
His name is Everett, but I call him rude. He’s pushy, he’s arrogant, he crowds my personal space, and worst of all: he makes me feel.
He chooses to wear all black, all the time, as if he’s waiting to attend a funeral. Probably because he is.
Everett is dying. And he’s spending his final days living, truly living. In doing so, he’s forcing me to feel, to heal. To come face to face with the demons I suppressed in my memory.
He hurts me, he fulfills me, he completes me. And still, he’s dying.
Olivia is excited for university. She will be on her own, in a new place hopeful to meet new friends.
On the night she moves in, she is taken off the street by two masked men. She is placed in a room which is little more than a cell. A pink cell. A room made for a doll. She is now part of their collection.
Arienna Austin is a girl on a mission. Her family was murdered by vampires five years ago and she has trained long and hard to become a hunter. She finally encounters the nest of bloodsuckers who ruined her life and she intends to exact her revenge on them all.
In a horrible twist of fate, she becomes one of the very creatures she’s been stalking and her entire world is turned upside down. If the hunters who took her in and trained her learn what she has turned into, she will become their next target.
A chance encounter with a sexy Scottish hunter changes everything. Connor McAllister is more than he seems. He is a shapeshifter who works for a secret organisation known as the Hunter Elite. Ari is exactly the sort of creature the team needs on their side. That is if the supernatural monster killers allow her to live. She must prove she isn’t a danger to humans, or she suspects that she won’t leave their compound alive.
On a day like any other, Jim Blackmore finds himself at ground zero of the zombie apocalypse. He is forced
to run a blood-soaked gauntlet through a city overrun by an insurmountable horde of the dead in a desperate attempt to reach his wife and two small children. As he fights to get home he discovers that the living are just as dangerous as the dead. But does Jim have the strength of will to survive the perilous journey?
