WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Wars. So here what I have read/are reading/will be reading. Also, I will let y’all know what has gone on in my life this past week.
What has been going on in my life:
Thursday and Friday, really nothing much. But the weekend was a different story.
First off, how many of y’all watched the Royal Wedding? I did. BK, my SO, woke me up at 7 so I wouldn’t miss it. I was entranced by Meghan Markle’s dress, her tiara, her obvious love for Harry (and him for her). Basically everything. I was glued to the TV. I wish the rest of my weekend was as magical…lol. It ended up being a comedy of errors. Let’s see, what went wrong:
A) Bank made a huge mistake and BK’s direct deposit was not there. So, we were left with a negative amount and no money for groceries. Luckily, the bank fixed what was wrong and his direct deposit was put back but still…
B) Somehow, our 1-year-old lawnmower broke Saturday night. BK was mowing the lawn and it started sputtering. He went to finish mowing on Sunday and it wouldn’t stay running. Really long story short, there was a spring missing on the carburetor, He needs to go to Home Depot or Lowes to get one and it should run fine. Meanwhile, the lawn is out of control…lol.
Monday, Tuesday and today were pretty standard and boring. Just T-Ball for Ms. R.
Now, onto the real reason I started this post (LOL):
What I am Currently Reading:
Date of publication: June 21st, 2018
Book synopsis (from Goodreads):
Magic. Romance. Revolution. The sequel to the bold and gorgeous The Waking Land.
Jahan Korakides is the hero who saved the life of the crown prince in battle, helped win the revolution in Eren and earned the heart of Elanna, the legendary Wildegarde reborn.
But Jahan Korakides is also broken; haunted by memories of the woman who experimented on him and his brothers as children. So when the empire threatens war in retribution for Elanna’s illegal sorcery, Jahan leaves Eren to negotiate with the emperor on Queen Sophy’s behalf. But the world he left has changed – riots rock the city of Ida, his brother is missing and the crown prince refuses to speak to him.
Jahan’s only hope of success seems to lie with the rebels in Ida. Yet, if he joins them, he will merely spur on the war he’s desperate to avoid, and risk revealing himself as a sorcerer.
And then the witch hunters arrive at court, bringing Elanna in chains.
I am really liking this book. I have reviewed The Waking Land and was curious about Jahan. All of my questions have been answered and then some. The Memory of Fire will not be published until June 21st, so be on the lookout for my review then.
What did I recently finish:
Date of publication: May 29th, 2018
Book synopsis (from Goodreads):
BACK IN THE SADDLE. STRAIGHT TO THE HEART. . .
At the Ford family ranch, getting thrown from a horse is a part of growing up. But one cowboy is still learning the ropes when it comes to falling in love.

He’s determined to restore his body and revive his career. There’s just one problem: the finest physical therapist in town just happens to be the only woman he’s ever loved.
Lauren Lewis knows she made a huge mistake when she walked away from Tanner. But she was young, ambitious, and focused on her medical career. Now, after all these years, Tanner’s back—and, in spite of his injuries, looking better than she allows herself to admit. She agrees to work on Tanner’s big bruised muscles until he’s back in bull-riding shape again. But how can Lauren resist the smoldering attraction between her and her old flame. . .and find a way to live without him?
I was “meh” when reading this book. Not going to get into why I felt like that now. Be on the lookout for my review on May 29th. Then you will find out why!!!
What I am reading next:
Head Over Heels: I can’t remember why I wanted to read this book. I do know that I got it from a Read Now email. I hope I like it!!
Knocked Up: So, there are a couple of reasons why I decided to get this book. One being the cover. Look at the guy’s abs!! Another is that I love reviewing for Loveswept. I am hoping that this book is as good as the cover promises…lol.
Before and Again: St. Martin’s Press approached me to review this book. I had been seeing it floating around NetGalley and was interested. I am hoping that it is as good as the blurb makes it out to be.
So that’s it. Be on the lookout for the reviews of all these books in the near future.
Have you read any of these books? Why or why not?
